Shelly Anne Shirley Arnold
(AKA)"The Green Goddess"
Married 23 years
Mother of 3 children
Grandmother of 2 boys
Resident of So Lake Tahoe, CA for 27 years
In 2003 I became a Certified Nursing Assistant through Lake Tahoe Community College and Barton Hospitol. I am an aromatherapist, a reflexologist as well as an astrologer. I believe that God and the Bodhisattva have lead me to the path of a cannabis caregiver. I believe in the whole plant and everything about the plant. I have taken on the task of learning and perfecting the making of butters, oils, tinctures and compresses.
I make cannabis cookies and green treats to meet the needs of the many people I have come to know and love who are sick and suffering from various illnesses such as MS, Breast Cancer, AIDS, Glaucoma, Migraines, Chronic Fatigue, Failure to Thrive, Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Depression as well as many other crippling disorders.
On a more personal level I am an adult who has watched the Justice system fail with my own personal family members and see the need for change. My father was sentenced to prison, in 1956 for 10 years, for less than an ounce of marijuana. My oldest son has been in prison twice for marijuana possesion of an ounce or less. I believe we need to stop putting people in jail for non violent crimes such as marijuana offenses. I am no stranger to the failure of our nations drug war. As a caregiver I believe we all need to feel safe as we care and we give to our families and friends in their hour of need.
I dedicate my mission to the fallen angles and soldiers, that have fought in the war on cannabis, and the few I have had the honor to caregive for. Ms.Stevie Kiss, Ms.Kathy Gillespi, Ms.Laura Carden, Karl from Garden Valley and David Whittaker. God rest their souls
Recently I suffered a stroke and if not for the grace of God I would not be here today.Today is June 23, 2008 and It has almost been 2 months since I first noticed symptoms. I was rushed to the hospital by my husband John and was immediately care-flighted to Renown medical center from Tahoe to Reno. My revovery up till this point has been remarkable. I believe I owe a great deal of my neuroprotection to my daily use of cannabis. Although this expeirience continues to be a major wake-up call for me, a life style change has certainly been waranted and cannabis has helped see me through.
